Join us for this awesome event....

The 'For The Cause' foundation invites you to participate in the 1st Annual Pump and Run Challenge.

The Pump and Run Challenge is a trilogy of athletic events challenging the strength of a Weightlifter and the endurance of a Runner; it is the ultimate measure of Strength versus Endurance. The competition consists of each competitor competing in three events:

        Maximum repetition chin-ups
Maximum rep bench press using a percentage of bodyweight (outlined below)
        5K Run

Scoring: To find the adjusted time for the competition, we will subtract 15 seconds for each rep performed on the bench press and chin-up portion of the competition, from the 5k run. For example, if a participant records a combined 32 reps, they will receive 8 minutes off of their 5k time. The individual with the lowest adjusted time wins.

The proceeds from this year's event will benefit the local chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
